# Selling with Bango Payments

> Follow these steps to sell goods and services to users

Here's what you need to do:

1. **Sign up with Bango** If you haven't already signed up to use the Bango Platform, see [Bango Platform](/legacy/platform/getting-started/index) to learn more. You must sign up before you can use the Bango Payment API. Bango will provide you with the credentials you need to get started:
2. **Learn about the Bango Payment API** See [Bango Payment / Architectural overview](/legacy/dcb-payments-v5/architecture/architecture) for a high-level introduction.
3. **Use the Bango Payment API** Use the other sections of the Bango Payment API documentation to help you add Bango Payment API calls and business logic to your code:

5. [Bango Payment / Merchant API reference](/legacy/resale/merchant/architecture): full details of all Bango Payment API requests and responses
6. [Troubleshooting and support](/legacy/platform/architecture/index-1): how to fix common problems or ask Bango for help
7. **Test and certify your integration** See [Bango Payment / Testing](/legacy/dcb-payments-v5/testing/index). Bango must certify your test results before you're authorized to use the Bango Payment API in production.
8. **Activate payment providers** When authorized for production, contact [Bango Support](/legacy/platform/architecture/support) to activate payment providers for your store. You might need a contract with a payment provider, and Bango might need proof the contract exists, before the payment provider is activated. You must negotiate contracts with payment providers yourself.
9. **Perform production testing** When **each** payment provider is activated, perform [production testing](/legacy/dcb-payments-v5/testing/index) before launch to ensure your store works correctly. Payment providers may require testing before allowing you access to their live systems.
10. **Make sure you get paid** Your agreement with a payment provider defines how you receive your share of the payments it takes from users. Typically you invoice each payment provider monthly, and pay Bango its share for providing the Bango Platform services you use. Make sure you understand the business processes and requirements before you go live. 11. **Go live and measure the results** Use Bango Dashboard and Bango Care to monitor all transactions for your store. You can drill down and filter the results, and you can download reports. Use Bango Boost to benchmark your transactions against your peers or industry-leading performers.
